it requires a high level of satisfied needs to be able to put up questions like this. Ponder about this: do you think you would have thought about the same thing while you stood in red southern sahara sands being hungry and thirsty? would it have mattered to get a real answer? Is there any situation in life that will require the answer to this, ever?

It’s a collective effort. While some are thirsty in that dessert, they have their own tasks to complete. When the author of this comic is in the situation she/he is, it is her/his task to ask such questions to quench her/his thirst. One is not more essential than the other.

Why do we even need to think at all if we could just go on living on instinc? Looking for food when hungry, water for our thirst and shelter from the ravages of nature. But what about the tiniest insect, like ants crawling on the ground or that microscopic bug in your skin pores…do they even think? They eat, drink, rest and sleep and replicate…but are they different from us to deny them of similar conciousness? Would they also think about the same thing? Would it matter to them? Who knows…but in times of pain and great loss or hardship in life, people would find solace and escape in their thoughts…if not why then would monks built temples high in the himalayas or mecca built in the heart of the desert? The pain and suffering could help to filter out the noise, focus your mind so that you could finally listen…

They can do all of that, up until I hit them with hot water and Hibiclens® with .4% chlorhexidene! After that – they are with their Bug Ghod, and their 72 microbe virgins!

or is God’s existence the dreams of human? I ask myself… If something came out of nothing, nothing then is something really creative?
